Reminds me of a time when I was turkey hunting here in N ID. with a friend. We knew where they were roosting and got set up just before daylight. The turkeys started talking and right at about sunup, there was an awful screeching noise, for lack of a better term. I didn't know what it was. Turns out it was a peacock that must have been a pet of the farmer who had a house 3-400 yds up the hill.

We left the peacock alone, but had some success on the turkeys.

If you want to annoy the neighbours then buy a peacock. Found in North India and taste just like a big pheasant so I understand. If you know someone who ties fishing flies than there is a host of useful stuff on that bird. Lagopus.....
