Those who think the shotgun was perfected in 1875 are missing a big piece of the hobby.
I'd be very interested in the new Benelli. It would go well with my Cynergy.
Two in the rack here are Benelli automatics, one dates from 1991 and is an HK import from before there was much advertising. One look at the design and the incredible accuracy of their robotic machine work, and I had to have one.
The 20 gauge Cordoba is the lightest recoiling and best handling 20 gauge gun I've ever used. It works 100% of the time.
I shoot guns, instead of arranging display cases in walnut and billiard cloth gun rooms. Traditional guns are fun, but I'd be bored to tears if I had to shoot the same style gun every week. The one exception is my trap gun, which is nickel plated and has a plywood stock. It breaks targets, and that's the name of that game.
I have a difficult time understanding self limitation in an age of endless variety. There are hundreds of beers, dozens of whiskies, and many different shotgun designs. Embrace choice, and give credit to the guys who offer their unique creations for your objective evaluation.
Do not, however, get the idea that one woman is different from the rest. She isn't.

It's innovative. I will give them that.

Embrace choice, and give credit to the guys who offer their unique creations for your objective evaluation. I support their right to be innovative, just as I support my right to express opinions about their product. Being innovative in this case does not exempt that gun from being described as fugly. The AMC Gremlin had an arguably innovative design.
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

With going to the trouble of adjustable cast and comb, wonder why Benelli didn't take the extra step of LOP adjustment. Maybe the recoil limiting system prevented LOP adjustment. The lines are closer to traditional than Jet Jetson's Ljutic.

I do like the fact that you can adjust drop at comb and heel as well as cast without an ungly adjustable comb. They usually included different recoil pads for LOP adjustment.

I don't admire anyone trying to introduce a new O/U, or SxS for that matter. What is there to do to make your product "stand out?" Until I see one in person I can't really make a decision on the Benelli's. I liked the CG guns until I handled one.

For what it is worth I think a Merkel O/U is the ugliest thing ever to throw a charge of shot, but apparently someone buys them.

They are not trying to market them to people like "us", meaning the majority of those on the DGJBBS. They are a worldwide company and I am sure they won't lose any sleep over our lack of acceptance.
TBS, there won't be a 28 or 26 inch O/U in my stable, of any make.

May God bless America and those who defend her.
