If I had a dog that ugly I would shave his ass and make him walk backwards.

Reminds me that Beretta UG25 (or something like that) that was on the market a couple years ago. I don't like either.

They weigh 6.5 pounds. The average guy who is going to buy this will drop a couple of Federal Pheasant Forever shells in it and lose some teeth. I am curious to swing one around and see what it feels like. Quite, ah, nontraditional looking. Regards, Jeff

Well, no one will ever accuse Benelli of going for the traditional look in this gun. Not for me, but I'm sure they'll sell some and if it's as reliable as the Benelli autoloaders, they'll last a long, long time.

Adam - I think you're talking about the UGB25. My grandson shot one for several years. It was reliable enough, and he was good enough that he has gotten a shooting scholarship for college. Will admit, however, that it was an unconventional design.

OT--The duck hunter in the ad is wearing blaze orange, not required in our region. How common, please? I've seen ducks shy off many times with a piece of red showing under a jacket. Cover the red, all's fine.

The Benelli posse will love it. I hate their advertising but it is nothing if not effective. They have about as dedicated a following as there is. With the exception of a couple of models I find the look of their repeaters equally as offensive as this monstrosity, and I will never own a gun with an inertia action. Cheaper to produce and they have such excellent marketing they have a lot of people convinced it's worth a premium with their name on it. I like that blaze orange for pheasant which is what is in that picture.
