Hello,

I am a retired teacher and firearms enthusiast. I like old and unusal stuff. Dont mess with much that is Post WWII. I am primarily a researcher and guns are my favorite topic. I am not a dealer but I do help people when they get dad's guns and don't know what to do. Thus the reason I wound up here.

The Peterlongo Cape Gun appeared on my doorstep a week or so ago. I found out some stuff. It is black powder proofed. It has good bores and a tight action. It has double set triggers. The shotgun is 16 ga. chamber for 2 & 5/8. The rifle is 8mm X 72 Sauer. It is well used, most of metal finish is gone with a bit of plumb bluing scattered about and small amounts of faint case tither and yon. The wood has all the normal wear with a small chip on the fore end above the wedge, otherwise it is solid The strap is old and appears to have been with the gun a long time.
