It could be that the cocking dogs have worn and are not rearing on the hammers having "slipped "underneath ,It could be that a spring has broken . Can you cock the gun with barrel off by pushing the dogs [lifters] down against a hard wood surface such as a bench edge ?Silly thought is the extractor jammed ?
