ed good Sidelock Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 10,134 Likes: 125 nh mostly	as i understand it, action/barrel looseness, is not an off face issue...it is rather a bite or hook issue, depending on weather looseness is vertical or horizontal. and generally, up to .004 day light between breech and receiver face is considered by my gunsmith to be safe...but, as always, get professional advise before shooting any old gun, weather off face or not. keep it simple and keep it safe...
