I'm not going for one upmanship here but I found it fascinating that Sir Joseph Whitworth demonstrated instruments of his which could measure to a millionth of an inch back in 1850.
He must have worked on tools like that while he wasn't busy revolutionising engineering and production methods smile
I wonder what a man with his hands and mind would be capable of if he were around today.
