Go back to that thread and read Wildcatter's comments.The reason everything works out is because the 6.5x55 uses a long, for caliber,bullet and the 8x57IS uses a spitzer bullet( 8x57I used a long RN);but most traditional bullets in the 9.3x62 are RN and will fit in Mag.I built my 9.3x62 with a Husky barrel in a WW2 mod 98 action without opening up the magazine(so I didn't have to open the action up either).There is plenty of room in the 8x57 Magazine box.A 9.3 HMK bullet may be too long,but I never tried one.The 98s are opened up for 30-06,because of longer oal than 9.3x62 with 286 gr bullet.
