I make up my own repro labels for myself and other collectors from time to time so that's not an issue. I need a reasonable quality image to re create from or restore to make a repro.
In any case i have been really trying to seek a trade label and a guy from these forums in Australia MAY have one, so he has said he will help so far as he can IF he can find one.
On top of that i found an article on Calderwood in Irish Country Sports and Country Life who i emailed. They promptly put me in contact with David Stroud proprietor of "ram rod antiques" who promptly provided me with all the images he has of calderwood labels
As such i have an image of three known labels for calderwood.
A trade label for James Calderwood, 22 Duke street, which is a good image from which i may be able to make a restored image.
A Trade label for 14 north earl street as shown in my original post which is printed in blue ink. The image is fairly poor
A trade label similar to the one in my original post which is a black and white image taken from a auction catalogue, the image is very poor. The difference between this one and the one above is that this one is very much a landscape image as apposed to the original one in portrait.
As the gun is a double percussion gun with a round flintlock - esk trigger guard it would not surprise me if the gun is early enough to fit with the 22 duke street address. So i will probably restore/ recreate that image if possible and go with that unless the forum member i mentioned earlier comes up with anything of interest.
Will share the images if there is interest.
James.
