So I took the Sauer to the club today and shot a few pattern boards. It seems to shoot where I point for the most part, so that is good. Everything, including ejectors, worked perfectly so that's good too.
I have never really patterned a gun before for choke purposes b/c most of my barrels seem to be standard sized and I have a drop in gauge that's been pretty accurate (plus a lot of my guns have tubes). Anyway, I looked it up and shot 30" circles at 30 yards, but now I need help interpreting how open/tight you think these chokes would be. They are more open than I would have expected, I think? Or maybe I just suck at shooting at pattern boards.
Right (more open) Barrel, 7.5 Shot, 1oz. Fed Game Load, 30 Yards

Right Barrel, 6 Shot, 1oz. Herters Dove & Quail, 30 Yards

Left (more choked) Barrel, 7.5 Shot, 1oz. Fed Game Load, 30 Yards

Left Barrel, 6 Shot, 1oz., Herters Dove & Quail, 30 Yards

If this is inconclusive and I need to shoot more boards, let me know! Like I said, first timer here, both shooting this specific gun and patterning for determining choke purposes.
