Same with my sideplated gun, just the simple horizontal-lined one. My Forehand single-barrel gun has the "Squirrel & Nut" buttplate.

This is one of those topics that the internet may very well be wrong about, as there are plenty of opinions out there that the "better" (sideplated boxlock?) H&A doubles were the Forehand design.

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.
