Lindner/Daly was the only maker in Suhl that I'm aware of that paid the Schillings for the APUN. Sauer waited until the patent protection period expired for the A&D Body Action(with or without intercepting scears) before they adopted they A&D Body Action as their workhorse platform. Then Kerner added his 2 cents to the design(Kerner-Anson) and voilà you have the platform that the bulk of the German makers adopted.

Excellent. Sooo other companies other than SD&G purchased (or sold) these as well, although isn't it possible they were purchased through SD&G as the importer? There is a possible addition to the text, as it appears that 10ga. guns were produced as well.
Using the "Parker Standard", it appears they were priced at about the same price-point of a Parker Grade G. Which makes sense, as guns I've found in comparable condition are priced about what you'd expect to pay for a G.

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

Yeah, let's not bring up the subject of errors as I well know. About the time H.A. Lindner hung out his gunmaking shingle, I'd say the bulk of German wares peddled by American makers were imported thru either S,D&G or A. Schoverling's import house.

OOOps, I corrected it, I don't want to step on any toes...
Is it safe to say that once the royalty issue expired Sauer went to primarily (or exclusively) Boxlocks?
