No choke-Half choke. Affectionately called ball-shot.

75% of today's owners of these older guns say their's are choked "Extra Full". Where's #5???? Anyone ever seen one so marked?

That holds true for old Central European guns from places like Thuringia. As our Slovenian friend pointed out many also had sling & swivels. By the time Rollo mounted gun from slung position the birdie was far away with its anus toward poor Ole' Nimrod thus the full and extra full combos often seen were sadly needed.
It is not uncommon to see old American guns with long barrels with no choke or little choke. Those were ball and shotty specials so beloved in South-Eastern US.

With slug in one and SG in other that is quite a slayer he has there. smirk

Most shot gunners were generalist. They shot just about everything with one gun. While full choke was over kill for some situations it did well over all or almost every gun would not have been choked mod and full. With adds that claimed "hits hard, kills at 80 yards" full choke were the norm.

Shell quality might be good but plastic wads made full into much tighter than designed full patterns. There were some guns over choked to great extent. I have a pair of Baker heavy waterfowl guns which are choke .050-.055 with barrels thick as cannon barrels. Had Baker used Ithacas choke numbers they would be fives or maybe 5.5's.
