John, he told me several years ago that "the only way I can afford to shoot 34" Parkers is to buy guns with bad barrels "cheap" and have them sleeved". He may have one that is not, don't know for certain. Pretty certain his hammer gun is sleeved, too.

Clapper, the threaded extensions really defeat the purpose of having longer barrels to begin with, IMO. If your rib is not as long as the tubes, I can't really see where you have accomplished anything. Some would say that going from 30" to 32" won't accomplish anything either. Well, I shoot a 31 1/2" MX-8 in registered competition, along with a 30" SuperX 2 Sporting, which has a sighting radius at least as long as the MX-8. I don't want to start another debate here about merits or faults of longer barrels, but I am of the opinion that the lead looks just a bit different over a set of 32" barrels than it does over a 30" set, all else equal. It's small, but it's there. This whole project is an effort to get the lead to look the same as my other comp guns. It may or may not give me an edge over my 30" set, but ................. if it gains me 1-2 birds out of 100, I will be thrilled. I've lost a lot of shoots by 2 birds, and got myself in several shootoffs by one bird.

Briley's posted price is $1950. But, I think that is if you stay with the same length barrels. Going with a longer set means extra work. Ribs must be lengthened, for one thing. I have emailed Briley about this and await their reply. I intend to contact a couple other people as well to talk about the job. A work in progress, as they say.
