This gun is broken at the wrist.Looks to me to have had something heavy because it is across the grain but I am no expert.
Someone on this site gave me the number of Macombson Stock <not sure of spelling> and he told me $800 plus forend and wood if I had the old stock. I'm not sure if he was familiar with what I meant by a back action sidelock and the inletting but he sounded like he did. Most of the guys I know or have used charge $2000 to $3000 for a box lock plus wood plus first born.
I think I'll keep looking.
