Not a SxS but an interesting old O/U shotgun. A local dealer has one and wants to sell it. He usually sells rifles. In good condition with 28" barrels. Choked M/F. Anyone have thoughts on value? Thanks, Jake

Thanks Jack. I know only a little about this model gun. I have seen them a few times and have read McIntosh's "America's Best" description. Can you add anything? Regards, Jake

Jake, I've seen only one at Jaqua's a couple years back. Extensive white oak and acorn motif had been bestowed upon the stock and forend and I was still attracted to it. Don't know what to add. Lighter than the 3200 and apparently more troublefree; K-32 a copy. Everyone I've seen on the internet sold just under 2k. If your dealer is giving it away for 8-900 and it didn't die in the skeet trade, I think I'd grab it.

A factory rib would add value. Is is a plain barrel, a solid rib, or a vent rib. A retrofit vent rib would bring value to somewhat less than a plain barrel original. Is a grade marked on the bottom of the receiver, like "Skeet" or "TC"? That also would add value. Yes, a field choked gun could be a "Skeet Grade". And, yes, a 28" barrel could be installed special order on a TC Trap Grade gun.

The Remington M32 is a great shotgun. I have four and they all get a good workout. If something breaks or wears out, send it to Larry DelGrego in Ilion, NY. All have been used a bunch on trap and sporting clays. I do have a set of skeet barrels that I picked up from a gunsmith that had them left after he sold the gun with trap barrels. I primarily use it on my trap doubles gun, but it will assemble to the others as well and are useable.

The factory rib is integral to the barrel. Thats how you can tell if the rib is original or not. Ive seen a lot of them with Simmons ribs. The first guns had double triggers but Remington offered conversions to the single trigger. I have some introductory literature from Remington and it said the single trigger wasnt ready but would be soon. I have #838 TC with 32 inch barrels and I love it. My little bro has 2 or 3 Skeet guns with mutiple barrel sets. I think they are Kreigoff barrels. Its the only O/U gun I will allow in with my Doubles.(I would consider a twin single Superposed but only because of the cool trigger mechanism) Ross

Ross, I have known Krieghoff barrels to be fitted to a Remington, but don't know what has to be done to make the conversion. Does anyone know. I guess I could lay a few of them out to see what is different. Most Remington 32 multi barrel skeet sets have Simmons or Del Grego barrels. Using up three sets of Krieghoff barrels is an expensive way to create a Remington skeet gun. Does anyone know how possible it is to install Krieghoff wood on a Remington 32? Anyone done it? I have an outrageous Arnold Griebel engraved and inlaid Remington 32 with miserable replacement wood. I would install some nice Krieghoff wood on that gun if I knew whether it would work. Thanks for any info. Murphy

eightbore, I once had a Model 32 Skeet. The original forend, including iron, had been lost and the gun was fitted with a Krieghoff complete forend. Looked and worked fine. I know this does not really answer your wood fit question, but they have to be close.
