DGB, That patent evolution is actually my research work, Larry shouldn't have included it in his book. The Allender patent was of particular significance to me because of the possible Flues connection, but more importantly to stop the so called Baker authorities from continuing to pass bum scoop. For years the Baker loud mouths told everyone who asked, that the "Patented Aug 12 1884" that's engraved on the bottom of many actions was in fact a "Fake" patent. It sort of became a personal mission to dispell the disinformation they were trowelling out. Those guys have been passing bum scoop and disinformation about Baker shotguns for as long as I've been into double barrels...with their "prototypes" and fake patents...Thank God, that you guys have arrived on the scene.
