Top of their line sidelock. Nothing wrong with W & C Scott guns at all. They have made guns for nearly maker in England at one time or another.

Think of this gun as a Purdey Extra Finish for half price. Scott name is BV3, the Original Quality of this gun is better than best gun (the Premier fits that slot at OQ1). Current Condition seems a bit dog-eared (could be the photos), so call it CC4 (Heavy use, but no abuse). BV3-OQ1-CC4 = $8,000. Take that price as "round-about." It should get some premium for higher OQ and CC may be off a bit. These are not exactly "thick on the ground," but they do show up from time to time.

I can't help on value. Luckily I got my Premiers (not Imperials) before everyone on this board started telling everyone what great guns they were.

I am glad to see the pictures though. This is the second Imperial to show up here in the last few months and the third that I remember.

Wonderful guns and if the price is not out of line you will be pleased with the gun and it WON'T go down in value.....

Dave, depending on the condition and specs of the barrels/bores
ie. barrel wall, length ,chokes, and the quality/condition/dimensions of the stock, that gun could easily be worth $15,000 plus. Pretty rare animal.More pics of the stock and action would be great.Nice find.

I am almost always suprised when I see the fit and finish on these old WC Scott guns. Beautiful old gun.

This gun misses the mark by not being subtle enough.
Look at the guns that fill the bestgun market, they are composed if anything.
The gentlemen who do shoot best guns, don't want dico lighting.
A little too Germanic, for the good ol' beans, I'm afraid!

Hi Mark:

Do you know the date of the cataloge that came from. Is that from a repro catalgue - if so where did you get it?

Thanks for the posting the catalogue page!
