Would really like to hear more about your early A serial number 7685. I have an early A SN'ed 7983 and it's a dandy.

There is currently an interesting post on the Fox Collectors site regarding shanebevel's gun. Check that out.

Maybe even start a new thread on your gun with hopefully, some pictures.

If the gun is a clean shooter I would guess the second set of barrels would add $500.00 to $600.00. Good luck and visit us over at foxcollectors.com Craig

I have two early A grades and as Craig says, the quality is outstanding. Real sleepers. Relating and agreeing with Jim's post, I actually prefer the plainer engraving as I'm not a fan of the later A grade style.

I put these pitures up on the same thread on the Fox site.

This shows how nice the wood on an early A can be and how well the wood on mine cleaned up.

Early A's have some of the best workmanship to be found. The wood is also usually equal to what you would only find on higher grades made in later years.

This one was picked up and neeeded a good cleaning. The wood was redone by Craig Libhardt of Susquehanna Stockworks.
