Depends on the fit and balance factor for a full day of dove shooting- I'd take the 12 Trojan- same gun I use for barnyard flighting pigeons (we have no dove seasons in Mich) and go from there- I know that, at almost age 75, I shoot better on passing birds, incomers, etc- with a heavier muzzle forward balanced 12 bore than say, with the 20 gauge Fox Sterly I bought about 8 years ago, in hopes of a legal dove season on doves here. If I tried to shift, during a full day of pass shooting on the P-51 Mustang acrobats of the aviel realm, I would soon be in what the late T. Nash B. called "A high voltage swivet"-- whatever that might be.
