You did get very lucky in the parts lottery, tho. I never get matches like that with relatively high grade gun parts. Sometimes with economy shotguns, but never with anything more exciting that a Stevens 5100 or a Winchester Model 37.

And JR is right: if you shot high-base equivalent shells in that, you'd feel it. Probably no good reason to, tho.


Yes I was extremely lucky. I bought an A grade action after I bought the barrels and they almost fit. I did not want to alter the barrels in any way and lucked out when I bought the C grade action as they fit perfectly. I do not plan on shooting anything other than 7/8 oz 12 gauge loads in this shotgun as several surgeries I have had have made me somewhat sensitive to recoil. I enjoy shooting it the way it is so I doubt I will go to the expense of having it restocked.
