looks like someone (cop, DA, reporter, etc) appears to have looked at the Beretta MSRP (9,500) and added a (fat-finger?) zero. The reporters downstream just passed it along without checking.
The more interesting part will be to watch if anyone in MSM corrects it. You can expect that the "Progressives", Bloomies, etc will try to find a way to use it for more opportunistic restrictions.
The suspect (see below) seems to have indulged in WAY too much stimulant. Probably went to "Moore Science High" (I think we're all Bozos on this bus...
