A happy and blessed Fourth to you all.
We will be having lunch with a big group of about 150 friends. The hosts cook the barbecue, Boston butts and ribs, and everyone else brings side dishes. When Queen asked me what she should cook for us to bring I gave my standard reply "Pecan pie!". Tonight we will ride down to the river for a fireworks display.
Hope you all are among friends and family today to enjoy our blessings. May God continue to bless America, and turn the hearts of it's people back to Him.

SRH Blessings to all! The 4th is always at our house with friends and family. Mine and my wife's dad's burial flags are flying high. Both WW2 vets. We make and shoot our own fireworks and mix with purchased stuff so we don't even have to leave the house. My once a year treat, homemade vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Early celebration for 2ea friends birthdays on the 5th. Doesn't get much better. Hopefully we all have our digits intact at the end of the night!  KClO3 + 2Al -> Al2O3 + KCl God is good.

Everyone have a great Fourth of July. For me, it means a nice rack of ribs on the grill at about 8:30 PM, with a nice sit-down in a lawn chair at the end of my driveway to watch the fireworks shot from the nearby Fairgrounds. I may even have a drink or two in celebration. Maybe even my sons will show up.
I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.
