Holy smokes, a little over 6 lbs. 12 gauge. An Anson and Deeley action?

Well if it had 28 or 30" barrels it would be a lot more and sold already. The discount for short barrels is a major problem to sellers of shorter barreled guns. One dealer I deal with a lot will not deal for a 26" gun. It is consignment or not at all. I guess he has watched too many short barrels linger on the racks too long waiting to be sold. Still that is a gun I'd love to handle and shoot a little.

You are right, but even with 26" barrels, that is one impressive gun regardless of the price, which is ridiculously low. The more I look at the receiver engraving and sculpting, along with the superb checkering, the more I flat love this gun.
With low-recoil 7/8 oz. loads, I cannot imagine a better grouse or woodcock gun. JR

It is beautiful. The pad really sucks, and the LOP is going to be way too short, without an extension, for a lot of guys. Up here, we would shrug, and use it when it got cold, and we put a heavy coat on, but, that only goes so far. 12 gauge guns are getting a bit tougher to sell in the last few years, even good ones. You have good taste, John. And maybe too much free time on your hands.
Best, Ted

Short, and no ejectors. I just picked up a very nice Holloway & Naughton, scalloped action, lots of engraving, very nice condition, for a bit less. 30" barrels and a few ounces heavier.
