The Z-R's imported by Abercrombie used to be more or less sleepers on the market. I recall buying a nice 20ga (DT nonejector) from Jack Dudley back when he had La Becasse for about $1,000. They've gone up a lot in value since then. They essentially became a less expensive option to the Francottes Abercrombie had sold for years, when Belgian guns took a significant price hike. The Blue Book tells me they were made in all gauges including 16 and .410, which I've never seen. I have seen 28ga versions, in addition to 12 and 20. There was also an over and under Z-R gun, but I think there are fewer of those around than sxs, or at least I've seen more sxs. I did handle a Z-R OU that weighed a tick or so under 5 lbs. I managed to refuse temptation, figuring it'd be too light for me to shoot well, and didn't buy it.
28",SST and ejectors, good condition: might come close to $2,000, but that would be tops for a 12 I think.
