If it has no serious problems, and you like that configuration that sounds like a fair deal to me, and if you shoot it well leaves room to have it cleaned up a little.

 Greener crossbolt, engraving a bit frosted. I've never seen a 3-piece fore end this one that I can remember. PS Sold for $1100........not to me.

Scalloped receiver, full coverage engraving, condition looks quite good. Some of those guns have 3 piece forends, others 1 piece.

Agree that's a lot of gun for the money. My 1936 A&F catalog lists the similar Belgian-made OU they imported--3 piece forend, non-scalloped receiver--at $150. On the next page, they were offering the Browning Superposed Standard Grade for $80.
