Ummm ... between "turd" and "fine gun", there's a lot of room for relatively inexpensive and reliable guns that are neither of the above. I don't care much for the engraving style, and the minimum bid is outrageous, though maybe not for someone. But otherwise the sloppy wood to metal fit shown around the top tang is the only issue I have with this gun. I have a friend who bought his Gold Label new for well under $2000, he's shot the snot out of it with no problems. A 12 ga. under 6-1/2 lbs., it's a wonderful gun to carry and shoot -- especially for folks who like a little weight forward balance. I once thought the 3" chambers silly in a gun this light, but 3" steel loads aren't so heavy for recoil, and very useful on WPAs and other uplands where lead's not allowed. I'd be pleased to own a "turd" like this.
