I've also been trying to find a source true French Walnut - Juglans regia grown in France.
Juglans regia grown in other parts of the world is not the same thing. Even though it's the same tree, local conditions affect certain qualities of the wood.
If you go to Naturabuy.fr, you can find some blanks labeled "French Walnut".
I haven't see any that I would want to go through the hassle of getting, though.
I haven't been able to find a supplier, either.
