I'd like the names of someone to reblue/black a set of SxS barrels for a modern American gun. The gun is personally important to me. I'd like someone talented, reasonable and with a reasonable turn around time.

Doug--- who goes by PA24 (I assume he flies a Piper24) on this website is the best in the USA, and I believe he lives near you in Utah. You can see photos of his peerless work on this site as well.

Doug has done several barrels for me and they are simply stunning. However, I don't like to tell him that because his head may get too big! LOL

I can tell you first hand, if your gun requires rust blue, Doug does outstanding work. I would without reservation, turn him loose with Holland Royal or Purdey barrels. His work is really that good. It's all about the metal preparation, sanding to a mirror finish, really in a sense striking the barrels, that creates rust blue to a high level. Doug goes the extra mile in an effort to attain perfection. Doug takes no shortcuts.

He has also been most generous in sharing information and offering advice to us here.
