Notice the acetylene torched and bent sears that are characteristic of all Miller-installed triggers. I wonder why English makers could make a single trigger that functions with interceptors but Miller couldn't?

Geez, Dewey, is that anyway to talk about a "Jewel" and it's installation? HA!!! I initially thought that someone had rehardened the steel parts in the picture of the Spanish gun above, but, it appears you are correct, and that ghastly workmanship is just part of the deal with one of those "Jewels".
Hey, JohnMc, lets see a photo of the lockwork on that Purdey, hell, I could use some more "enlightenment".
Have the intercepting sears been scrapped? Unused holes in the sideplates, plugged, or not? Is there any delightful acetylene and pliers work that has been performed on the remaining lockwork?
Again, I'd love to see it.
