Obvious to TV viewers thousands of miles from the Donald's office water tank who also wonder how one man could change economies with a snap of a finger when such power currently eludes all the dictators, tyrants, democrats, capitalists and socialists in the world.

We're going through the same nonsense during our federal election campaign, particularly around debt and deficit spending for new infrastructure, pushing off burdens to future generations. No matter how financed, the primary beneficiaries will be future generations and they should help pay for it.

And that old line, It's the economy, stupid. There's little the Trumps and governments can do about economies when they're all now wrapped together by trade pacts and globalization. The issue is citizens gaining control over their democracies and institutions, and we see little of that. Mike's above is part of the malaise. What's wrong with voting for best policies?
