Plus, to reduce the number of guns . No need to guess on this one. Brazil has more illegal guns and a higher murder rate than most countries, including war zones.

Hunting is now allowed on Rio Grande do Sul, just next to Uruguay. With more or less the same bird life, it should be a great place visit if /when a good outfitter opens a nice lodge/operation.

Quite a few Brazilian hunters come here to hunt -Portugal- and of course to neighboring Uruguay and Argentina.
