Very light attendance on Thursday in the exhibition area (think single digits) and not more than a dozen exhibitors. Even lighter shooter turn out. I believe the number of total registered shooters mentioned for the entire event was 57.
There were some nice guns with pricing to match the area.

I drove out Sunday morning and got there about noon and some of the vendors were starting to pack up. I would have put the vendors at about a dozen with some tables already empty, so I am thinking that Friday & Saturday would have been the ideal days to visit the vendor area.

There were some very nice guns there. Picked up some back issues of DBJ and chatted with Chris Batha for about 10 minutes about the Charles Boswell hammer gun I picked up in March.

I have become addicted to English hammered shotguns to the detriment of my wallet.

We drove up Sunday and arrived around 11. Not many vendors but those who were there had some beautiful guns and they seemed ready to make deals. Dover is a nice facility and we shot the green course and the make-a-break.

I exhibited at Dover Furnace this last weekend and have just finished packing up all my stuff. Fly home tomorrow.
I think is fair to say that the show was a commercial failure for most who exhibited there. Talking to the other vendors (apparently about 20 in all), everybody made a few sales and since a majority had been at Orvis Sandanona the previous weekend (where I believe even fewer sales were made!)it was a bit of a no-brainer to be at DF.
Main reason for poor footfall seems to have been an ex-employee who had not done what he was supposed to.
Not an excuse but an explanation.
Given the time and preparation, I think it could be a very good show next year.
I slipped away to shoot the 16g event and the targets were very fair: testing but not ridiculous. I enjoyed it.
My friends shot several other events including the main event of Sunday and said the targets ranged from the easy to very testing long range. Probably far from ideal for old s/s but this can be easily fine tuned.
I'll be back next year.
