I've long used the Scott blue shop paper towels for everything in the shop. But they make very poor cleaning patches, easily tearing apart when saturated with solvent. Recently, in the auto parts store, I saw a roll of Scott Pro paper towels right beside the old blue ones. Advertised as being solvent resistant and stronger. Well, I bought a roll and tried them out. They are great, almost equal to cloth patches in strength. I still use the old blue shop towels for most everything but the Scott Pro has become my "go to" bore cleaning patches. I like them better than cloth. Try it, you'll be happy.
