I dunno. That pose is very warm, comforting and, indeed, loving, but it does get to be a problem when you want to get up to get a snack or a drink or visit the toilet. You're gonna wake the dog.
Though I once had a little field Gordon - never got over 45 lb - who used to curl up in my lap and doze off when I sat in my TV chair. She'd nap for an hour or two and I got some good TV watching or reading done. And in the winter, she was far better than a blanket for keeping warm.
