Auction is over, but for those who follow these guns, this is the highest price I recall seeing recently.

That one is beautiful. Outstanding condition. Don't need or want one, but, that would be a great one to have.

The last hour it rose $200. There were 19 separate bidders including some from here.

The water table markings agree with the seller's description. The chain damascus really shines on that gun. The engraving is a bit constricted as would be expected for a later gun.

Nice to know I am sitting on a potential fortune in Aubrey guns, (NOT). crazy

That's a nice gun, but I never would have guessed it would sell for that much. I've never seen one that was marked "New Aubrey". When did they begin marking them "New", and was the butt plate changed on the "New" model or was that style used earlier?

The flying turnips on the left side are some of the best I've seen.

I really do not know. That is one of the reasons I am keeping track of them all.

I believe it was 1910, shortly after Aubrey departed the scene.

The butt plate is any one's best guess.

Wow, what a nice example of a Grade 58 with 30" Chain Damascus. I wish all of the sellers could have good pictures like this seller.

Anyone hazard a guess on the mechanics/importer's initials HRF initials on tubes?

Kind Regards,

I wish the stock on my 53 was half as nice as this one.
