Thanks guys! Sorry for the lack of a pic... I would have posted one but she is disassembled at the moment. One annoying thing is that about every other screw was missing. I am going to an old hardware store / gun shop tomorrow to see what I can't pick up.




Everything looks pretty solid, except that chewed stock. I'm only $175 in so far, add some screws, and a once over from a gunsmith, hopefully I'll only be around $250. A new stock would be $90. I do feel like it is probably worth more than that, right? I feel like I haven't seen the ones in good condition (maybe 70% guns) sell for less than $500... does that sound right? A LGS has an excellent++ one (A grade I believe)... def considering selling it, saving a few more dollars, and picking it up instead. I baby my firearms, so it would have a long, easy life (though it would be out birding with me for sure). Strange that the only two ithaca sxs models around here are both 16 gauge lefever nitro specials!
