I've smoked pipes for oh, around 60 years. So did both grandfathers [ both lived to be in their 90's ], my dad, and most my uncles. Being from Michigan and not far from Flint where " Paul's Pipes " is located and made, I kind a like them. Sir Walter Raleigh is my tobacco of choice.

Do you have a favorite carver, Newf? Lots of real good ones out there now. Cant think of a Canadian off the top of my head, but there must be one or two. I'm more of a smoker than collector. I have some nice pipes but nothing superstar nice. They sure are nice to look at.
Micheal Parks. Didn't know he was Canadian. Very nice. (sorry if I'm boring anyone. Pipes and tobacco would be a good misfires topic.) No real favorite Roads ...most all get a turn when the mood strikes ,I have had my eye on a Peterson rossalare(spell?) for a good while ,just can't justify the price ...for me its a warm bird in the bag - lean against a tree thing ,and wonder will I go look for another

No matter what, and whatever kind of tobacco, pipe, cigars, cigarettes......whatever.....it's dangerous. As a a doctor, it's my DUTY to warn you. There is not one good thing about tobacco. It kills human beings, no matter the type of smoke, it causes heart disease, COPD including emphysema, multiple cancers, peripheral arterial disease, et. al. Do your best to quit, no matter the type. You CAN quit! If I was King, I would outlaw all tobacco products. Alas, I'm not a king, so all I can do is warn you. Quit....before it's too late.

Paul
Paul's is legendary. Their Cayuga pipes are fantastic. I wish they were in Detroit. I make the trip up tbere at least once a year. Paul lived to 100. A fine man.
Newf
I have a couple Petes. One has a P-lip that I'm just not sure about. Sounds like we share the same outlook on hunting. Mostly just walking two-tracks and logging roads with my stupid dog Spino looking at stuff and thinkin' We enjoy it.
Wings in a close one with the Caps. Gotta run.

Chris, trees? Really? You had me imagining all your hunting was done on the barrens, those little bastard ptarmigans hiding between the rocks. Hahaha. Was looking at the Pieper today when I opened the safe. It keeps calling to me....saying "I'm wounded....send me to Chris!"

Sorry LR. Wings couldn't pull it off. Only reason I was pulling for them is because all Original Six take precedence over them damn newcomers. (Except for the Jets)

It's about time LR. Those Jets were sputtering the last six games.
And I have enjoyed living among Habs Haters ever since I first moved to the land of perpetual ineptitude where the poster boys for uselessness, the Leafs, make their home! LOL
The Leafs have been so bad for so long that the fun has almost gone out of making snide remarks to Leaf fans. I say almost. But not quite. Even after being here on and off since 1972, I still take joy from needling them.
