Curious on the loads as well. Most likely low pressure bismuth, but kind of hoping this was a reproofing of Damascus for steel with tight chokes haha...

Scarce info on ole Büchsenmacher W.O. Schatz of Potsdam. Active in the late 1800s. Action is pinned so I'm curious where it was sourced? Any marks? For sure Belgian sourced pattern welded tubes.
Kind Regards,

Welcome back Ross. Could you please post a full size close up of all the marks on the flats and underside of the barrels? And possibly send a full size close up of the barrel pattern to revdoc2@cox.net by jpg attachment? The pattern looks to be a very nice 4 Iron Turkish Star. Thanks!

Don't see him listed in the early 1860s ledger. Hopefully Gunwolf can ferret him out.

Fraktur for sure but I do know of Setswana but I'm better acquainted with Punu, or Bapunu. Kansas ditch parrots wore me out. Just drove in from there. Looked like everyone else was headed to Arkansas for Waterfowl season.
Kind Regards,
