Variation on #4--If I dial a wrong number it's never a cute blond that wants a date. OK, but usually gentlemen prefer blondes, rather than blonds. Go figure!!

The way I interpret my Dictionary blond is the hair color or a man with light hair. Blonde is a woman or girl who has blond hair. Makes it a bit confusing.

Not for the French. Blond is the masculine; blonde, feminine. D at the end only pronounced in "blonde". Those French do some things better than we do. They're pretty good (although sometimes kinky) with shotguns, but they beat us when it comes to food and wine. Cars . . . look elsewhere.

I didn't know the French made deep fried chicken or watermelon wine. I'll have to check theirs out.

+1 on the Grouse hunting! When deer hunting, once, I found many grouse on an open hillside. Later, when carrying my shotgun, nothing flew up, EXCEPT when I stood the gun against a tree and started to take a leak. Two thundered up right where I just came from, about 20 yds away! Smart birds....

French. . . Cars . . . look elsewhere. Many years ago I was riding with the general manager of the television station where I worked. We were in the Company General Manager car, a Peugeot. He was a fairly aggressive drive at times, though safe. He shifted gears and the gear shift came out in his hand. We drove back to the station in, I believe, third gear. That was the last day for that company car. It was replaced with a Lincoln.

I have never been to France, although I have enjoyed meals in the Palace Cafe, Antoine's, Commander's Palace and others in New Orleans, which have a French sphere d'influence. But, if there is anything better than carefully fried wild bobwhite quail, homemade cathead biscuits and tomato/cheese grits ......... I don't need it. SRH
