Joe mentioned the limited run book "The History of W. & C. Scott Gunmakers" by J. A. Crawford and P. G. Whatley. There were two editions, 1986 and 1991 (ASIN: B002J5LHVU). As he said, it is impossible to find, only one copy being listed in a library. Since that is in the US and I am in the UK, I am unable to access it easily!
I wondered if anyone on the board has a copy which they would be prepared to delve into on my behalf with regard to a particular person who was connected with the firm, briefly, in the early 1900s? It is a real long shot that this individual might be mentioned, I know.
