MJS, WHy don't you wear stockingfoot waders, and lace on shoes?
My friend crushed a foot, and that is what he does. He can't get a slip on boot to fit.

LaCrosse makes waders that are "extra stout", so large body, with no extra leg length, and they have gusseted straps that allow for adjustment in the body area. The legs are very roomy as well, but don't have gussets.

Herter's used to make a lace up boot wader, but when Cabela's bought them, they were discontinued.
