Wait for the finished product. I suspect it will look every bit as classic as a 48 will. To be able to take a part of a Lyman sight that was surplus unless someone had a base; repurpose it and design, modify and improve a base from scratch is fantastic. I seriously doubt anyone who frequents this forum is going to cobble up something and bolt it to a Win 70 that isn't esthetically pleasing.

Looking good, I hope we see the polished/finished product soon.
