To all the folks who have read/are familiar with my article
in DGJ spring 2002 on the Vejprty/Weipert Gunmakers:
It is finally here, not a post in a forum, nor an
article in DGJ or another publication, it is a BOOK.
A new one and the single I ever came across. Text in Czech
AND GERMAN, with a lot of photos and prima vista with
extensive field research.
Author's name is "Slanina", dont know if pseudonym or genuine.
I appreciate the endeavour undertaken, in an environment
with still ethnic/political sensitivy re this
"Sudetendeutsche Drama", to unfold the story of this bygone
gunmaking centre.
Was just browsing through it , I thought I let you know.
There may be now the answer to all Weipert questions .
I am not sure if there exists translation software from
Czech to English, but I am pretty sure there should
exist one from German to English.

I have seen it yesterday at the store of Johann Springer's Erben
in Vienna, Weihburggasse.
Contact them I think they will mail it to you.
(Unless you live in Russia, the embargo versus Russia
has been extended for another half year, so no
French warships, no Polish apples , no Springer guns to
Russia.....)
