Interesting story.
Not many know of the close linkup between the NAZIs and the Muslims during WW II. The SS "Handshar" Divisions were entirely composed of Muslims fighting for the NAZIs.
A lot of beautiful weapons were destroyed during this period but a lot were surrendered by the German populace at the end of the war. Many beautiful multi-barrel German hunting guns were fished out of surrendered weapons piles by souvenir hunting GIs and brought back to the States. Here's an example in my own collection albeit not multi barreled:
I acquired this German single shot drop block target rifle several years ago from a guy who had inherited it from an uncle. The engraving is incredible but doesn't show up well in the above picture. Here's a closeup with more detail:
The "story" was he had taken it off a dead German Sniper!
I just nod and don't say anything when I hear something like this.
