[quote=lonesome roads]I, for one, don't give a sh*t whether one can retrieve a fackin' bird or not on somebody's property in Georgia. Sounds like it would be a fine practice for a young go gettin' up and coming lawyer to keep us Yankee sports from running afoul of Boss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coltrane, eh geo? I'd be somewhat more interested, Stan, on your opinion of the moral quandry DU finds itself in over the firing of Mr. Thomas. Or old colonel, what you think it says of the character of someone who would string an electrified wire across a river to keep people out? Or buying judges?
I do not know Mr Kennedy, doubt I will ever meet him. For that matter I do not know Mr Thomas, though I have read at least one of his books. It takes me more than the little data in evidence to condemn mr K's character even though it is tempting to do so.
I do not like the ease that people seem to possess in attacking others personally in the media and online. I know there are evil no good, lying, scumbags out there and when I have sufficient proof by their words and actions in evidence, I am happy to call it I as I see it.
I sometimes wish those in the public arena would still duel,
In answer to your question, I do not know he brought a judge, if he did it does not appear to work well, whereas paying lawyers to drag it out maybe working for a bit.
Further, it is his money, inherited or not for him to contribute, whether I agree with his politics or positions. Which on the subjrect of access I do not.
I believe the article stated he wired the bank by the bridge on what I suppose is the erroneous belief he had a right to. He did not run the wire across the river halting the waterway.
It is unfortunate he has the resources to drag it all out, but that is our system in terms of going to court.
I reaffirm my belief in the public access andnot in Mr K's l gal position. I also reaffirm my reading that I can see how Mr Thomas got crosswise with the DU leadership by what i read as a personal character attack.
