Mark,
We used to drive from Wisconsin to NY every year to bring our kids to visit my folks. As soon as the kids were settled I'd drive to Rt 7 in CT and visit Heritage, Safari Outfitters and Norn Flayderman. It was always worth the drive! Its interesting that that Krag ended back in NY. I'm happy to hear you ended up with it.

My wife and I are coming out there mid-August for opening night of a friend's play. The only store I might visit would be G&H in Benardsville....very sad.

Safari Oufitters is about 5 miles from Sandanona and about 1.5 hours from G&H in CT.
My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

I spend every May at my sister's summer house near Woodstock and fish for stripers in the Hudson. I always spend part of one rainy day at Safari Outfitters, but believe me its not like when it was in that beautiful mill house on Rt 7.

I was only in the old SO once. I wasn't interested good guns yet and probably needed some ammo or something for deer hunting.
I remember it being a few small rooms rather than one big one like Niles has currently. These days I live about 10 minutes from Rte. 7 but cannot figure out what is in the old location now, I don't remember the address.

What did that one go for? It says Auction over, but no final price that I could find. Lots of well done pictures of very nice workmanship.
