But I still cannot understand how selective people's memories can be. I got lambasted in one of my earliest posts here for having the temerity to ask a question that I did not know had been asked a hundred times before. Insults and bickering are nothing new here, and they were going on long before I was registered on this site.

Uh, sorry to disagree JDW, and when this subject has come up I have posted numerous links to old threads proving my contention. Here's a nice one that appeared here in post #264074 on 2/5/12 in the main forum where Last Dollar used an ethnic slur and called Jim a WOP:"Workers On Pensions"- or WOGS- from Kipling I believe- Workers On Government Service-- WTF?

It ain't nothing new. The ugliest of it is the dishonesty and insults that are frequently veiled under a thin veneer of faux civility. Sticks and Stones isn't half as bad or dangerous as Anti-Gun Trolling and support for the Anti-Gunners that threaten our right to even keep and bear arms. I've gained a lot of doublegun knowledge by simply taking the other stuff as free entertainment. The best part is that no one forces me to read or accept anything.
