Maybe, after 15 or so years, we've gotten to the point that it is harder to ask a question about doubleguns that has never been asked, and harder to answer one with an answer that has never been used. I agree with keith about how some on here used to belittle someone for asking a repeat question. I got embarrassed a few times, myself. But, I've got a pretty thick skin, and also figure what I gain from this board is much more than I will ever be able to contribute. I can wade through some sharp beaver stobs and put up with a lot of cold and wet to get to a good duck hole. Few worthwhile things in life don't require some unpleasantness to acquire. Expecting this forum to be different than that is a bit unrealistic, IMO.
I don't enjoy a lot of the childish bickering either, and maybe I have mistakenly participated in some of it. But, I hold no ill will toward anybody on here, and wish the best for all.

Stan I think there is some truth to the asked and answered aspect of things. If I want to look, there is a thread on just about every question imaginable.

A lot of people in that one thread about the sell and refund policy have not posted here in a long time. Rabbit and JimmyW and Lowell Glenthorne come to mind.

I will miss your posts while you are on break. Hope your decision to not post for a while is not an indication that there is a sort of Gresham's law effect where the bad posters drive out the good.

Those were the good ol'days....argument without total insanity. The picture of Lord Glenthorn's prized Beesley propping up that massive pine will forever be in my head

Those were the good ol'days... What about the Chambers fellow that went total nuts calling me a racist when I told him the black gunsmith in the picture he posted probably built that gun like Johnny Cash built his Cadillac....stole it one piece at a time.

I don't and never will understand why he went totally nutso over your comment, enough to get him thrown off this board which is pretty hard to do. Glad he's gone though.

He would get hot.
