This is a FWIW, but I used to shoot with a guy who went through the same thing. His approach was to learn to shoot left-handed. It was very painful to watch at first, but within about three months he was doing pretty well. He shot once or twice a week, about a hundred birds at a crack, and had the attitude that it was going to work, hell or high water. He had been a good shooter before and a year later he was a good shooter again.
